Other than the invite email and reward notifications, you can send other notifications via Klaviyo based on certain events that your contacts experience. This article provides other notification types, such as sending an email when a contact is unsubscribed or removed from your referral program.

💡 Note: Each ReferralCandy campaign has its own unique shortcode, so there isn’t a single custom property that works across all campaigns.
When adding custom or event properties in Klaviyo, always insert them using the Personalization button (also called the merge tag picker) — instead of typing or reusing the sample shortcodes shown in this guide.
The examples below are placeholders only to illustrate where your campaign’s shortcode would appear.
Using the Personalization button ensures the correct shortcode and syntax are inserted automatically, helping prevent errors if a campaign name or property changes later.
Unsubscribed from ReferralCandy
To send an automated email to contacts who requested to be unsubscribed from receiving campaign emails about your referral program, you can replicate the following setup and make tweaks as needed.

Recommended: Note in the email body that they are only unsubscribed from your referral program, and that unsubscribing from emails sent by your store must be done separately.
