Sync your Mailchimp lists with ReferralCandy to generate referral links for your subscribers. Once synced, use the ReferralCandy merge tag in your email templates that will show your customers' referral links which they can share with their friends.
After integration, you can manage your rewards settings and track referred purchases on the ReferralCandy dashboard. If you wish to send your referral marketing emails via ReferralCandy's email feature, import your Mailchimp lists.
On the dashboard, go to Integrations > Mailchimp.
Click Connect. The Mailchimp login page will show up. Log in to proceed.
The Mailchimp authorization page will appear. Click Allow to proceed.
Choose one or more Mailchimp lists to sync with ReferralCandy.
Click Sync Selected Lists. Syncing may take some time depending on the volume of your list(s). Once complete, you will see Connected with a green check.
If you need to sync more lists in the future, go back to the Mailchimp integration page and click Connect more lists.
After syncing, each of your Mailchimp subscribers is given a unique referral link which you can add using a custom merge tag to your email templates. Your subscribers also get the "Joined ReferralCandy Program" tag after sync.
Adding the referral link merge tag
Create an email or edit an email template in Mailchimp.
To insert the referral link, click the Merge Tags dropdown and select "ReferralCandy Referral Link". The merge tag looks like this:
Make sure to Preview your email and toggle on Enable live merge tag info to see if the referral link shows up for a subscriber in a synced list.
Send your email or schedule it at a later time.
The referral link redirects to the friend offer landing page. Your subscribers (Advocates) can share this link with their friends. The referred friends can then start purchasing at your store from this link, which will then be tracked on your ReferralCandy dashboard.
