ReferralCandy provides dashboards, analytics, and reports about your referral and affiliate programs. In Shopify admin, you can find these under Apps → ReferralCandy, across:
The Dashboard page (combined snapshot)
The Analytics and Reports tabs under Referral campaigns
The Analytics tab and per-campaign tabs under Affiliate campaigns
Dashboard
The Dashboard page shows a summary of your referral and affiliate program's campaign performance for the past 7 days, including total referral revenue, total referred purchases, and referral rate. It also lists all your campaigns and their statuses.
You may also see feature highlights and announcements on the Dashboard page from time to time.
Dashboard metrics
Dashboard metrics
The Dashboard page shows the following metrics for your campaigns over the past 7 days:
Total referral revenue — Revenue from all purchases referred friends made.
Total referred purchases — Number of all purchases referred friends made.
Referral rate — The percentage of referral purchases out of your total purchases. Calculated as: (total referred purchases / total invoices) × 100.
Referral campaigns
Referral campaigns have two reporting surfaces: an Analytics tab for trended metrics across your referral program, and a Reports tab for detailed activity summaries, sales data, and exports.
Analytics tab
The Analytics tab shows more granular data about your referral program, including referral revenue, referred purchases, emails sent, and referral traffic from shares. You can filter by date range and by individual campaign.
To access the Analytics tab for referral campaigns:
Go to Apps → ReferralCandy → Referral campaigns.
Click the Analytics tab.
Or open it directly: https://admin.shopify.com/apps/referralcandy/campaigns?tab=analytics
Referral analytics metrics
Referral analytics metrics
The following metrics are available on the Analytics tab for referral campaigns:
Revenue from referrals
Total referral revenue — Revenue from all purchases referred friends made.
First referral revenue — Revenue from the first purchase referred friends made.
Subsequent or Repeat referral revenue — Revenue from repeat purchases (2nd, 3rd, etc.) referred friends made.
Purchases made through referrals
Total referred purchases — Number of all purchases referred friends made.
First referred purchases — Number of first purchases referred friends made.
Repeat referred purchases — Number of repeat purchases (2nd, 3rd, etc.) referred friends made.
Revenue from rewarded advocates
Revenue from rewarded advocates — Revenue from purchases by advocates using discount codes received from successful referrals.
Purchases by advocates — Number of purchases by advocates using discount codes received from successful referrals.
These metrics only cover purchases where an advocate used a reward discount code from a successful referral — not advocates' broader purchase history. They're available for in-app viewing on the Analytics tab and are not part of the exportable Referral Report.
Welcome and reminder emails sent to advocates from ReferralCandy
New enrolled advocates — Number of new advocates who joined your campaign and can share their referral link with friends. Learn more
Welcome emails sent — Number of welcome emails sent to advocates nudging them to refer friends.
Welcome emails opened — Percentage of welcome emails sent to advocates that were opened.
Reminder emails sent — Number of reminder emails sent to advocates nudging them to refer friends.
Shares by advocates resulting in referred traffic
Shares — Total number of referral link shares by advocates. This includes shares on Facebook, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and X (formerly Twitter).
FOLP views — Number of unique friends who visited the Friend Offer Landing Page after an advocate shared their referral link. If you disabled the Friend Offer Page, this number is zero.
Store visits — Number of visits (first and repeat) to your store.
Unique store visitors — Number of unique store visitors.
Reports tab
The Reports tab shows a referral campaign activity summary, sales and revenue data, a list of referred purchases, and your top referrers. You can filter by date range.
Scope: The Reports tab and the exportable Referral Report only cover purchases made by referred friends. ReferralCandy does not export advocate purchase history. The Analytics tab shows limited advocate-side metrics under Revenue from rewarded advocates and Purchases by advocates, but these are confined to advocate purchases made using a reward discount code received from successful referrals — and are viewable in-app only, not exportable. For broader advocate purchase analysis, cross-reference your Shopify order data.
To access the Reports tab for referral campaigns:
Go to Apps → ReferralCandy → Referral campaigns.
Click the Reports tab.
Or open it directly: https://admin.shopify.com/apps/referralcandy/campaigns?tab=reports
Top Referrers. The Top Referrers ranking is available at the bottom of the Reports tab. It shows the top twenty contacts who have the most successful referrals. This includes referred purchases still within the review period, and excludes deleted and disqualified referrals.
You can export Reports tab data as PDF or CSV. The export will be sent to your login email address found in your Store details settings.
Note: If you're experiencing timeout errors when exporting reports, let us know and our support team can help investigate.
Exporting referral reports
Exporting referral reports
To export referral reports, click Export in the top right corner and select either CSV or PDF. Exported reports are sent to your login email address.
The exported report contains the following columns:
Purchase ID — The unique ID number assigned by ReferralCandy to each referred purchase.
External Reference ID — The order ID assigned by your eCommerce platform.
Campaign Shortcode — The short code you set for the campaign. Where do I find my shortcode?
Referred Friend Name — The name provided by the referred friend upon making the purchase.
Referrer Name — The name provided by the advocate when they registered for your referral campaign.
Amount — The referred friend's purchase amount.
Date — The date and time when the referred purchase was made.
Rewardable? — Whether the advocate is eligible to get rewarded from the referred purchase. Learn more
Commission Chargeable? — Whether ReferralCandy gets a commission from the referred purchase. Learn more

Affiliate campaigns
Affiliate campaign performance is tracked separately from referral campaigns. You'll find affiliate analytics in two places: a top-level Analytics tab under Affiliate campaigns (cross-campaign filters and totals), and per-campaign tabs inside each individual affiliate campaign (Overview, Affiliates, Commissions, and Brand Lift).
Analytics tab
The Affiliate campaigns Analytics tab shows trended performance across one or all affiliate campaigns, including revenue, commissions, conversions, and affiliate participation.
To access the Analytics tab for affiliate campaigns:
Go to Apps → ReferralCandy → Affiliate campaigns.
Click the Analytics tab.
Or open it directly: https://admin.shopify.com/apps/referralcandy/affiliate-campaigns?tab=analytics
At the top of the Analytics tab, use the filters to control what you're viewing:
Date range (e.g., Last 30 days)
Campaign selector (choose a specific affiliate campaign, or select All affiliate campaigns)
Affiliate analytics metrics
Affiliate analytics metrics
The Analytics tab for affiliate campaigns groups metrics into the following sections:
Campaign performance — financial summary for the selected filters:
Affiliate revenue — sales attributed to affiliate campaigns
Total commissions paid — commissions already paid out to affiliates
Commissions pending — commissions awaiting payout
Net affiliate profit — quick view of affiliate revenue minus commissions, with a trend chart
Conversions — affiliate traffic and outcomes:
Link clicks
Conversion rate
Conversions (shown in a trend chart)
Affiliates — affiliate participation and momentum:
Active affiliates
Inactive affiliates
Total enrolled affiliates
Active rate
New affiliate sign-ups (trend chart)
Top Affiliates — ranked list with an Export option.
Traffic by location — where campaign traffic is coming from.
Per-campaign Overview tab
When you open a specific affiliate campaign, the Overview tab gives you a quick view of that campaign's health and shortcuts to its settings.
To access the Overview tab for an affiliate campaign:
Go to Apps → ReferralCandy → Affiliate campaigns.
Select the affiliate campaign you want to review.
The campaign opens on the Overview tab.
The Overview tab shows the following Campaign Health metrics:
Revenue — sales attributed to this affiliate campaign
Commissions paid — total commissions paid out to affiliates in this campaign
Conversion rate — how effectively affiliate traffic turns into conversions
Active affiliates — how many affiliates are currently active in this campaign
You'll also see shortcut panels for common actions: reward settings, enabled emails and widgets, content/theme settings, and advanced settings. These don't change your analytics — but they can explain why a campaign is performing the way it is (e.g., which emails or widgets are enabled).
Tip: For trended performance over a specific time range, use the Analytics tab at the top of Affiliate campaigns instead.
Per-campaign Affiliates tab
The Affiliates tab inside an affiliate campaign shows a list of affiliates enrolled in that campaign, with search and export options. Use it to look up individual affiliates or export the affiliate list for offline analysis.
Per-campaign Commissions tab
The Commissions tab inside an affiliate campaign shows a payout view grouped by commission status (for example: Pending, Processing, Paid, Failed). Use it to review what's owed, what's been paid, and what's awaiting processing.
Per-campaign Brand Lift tab
If your affiliate campaign has the Brand Lift tab, it shows how affiliate content contributes to store activity in a funnel-style view:
Social content views
Store visits
Referrals made
Revenue generated
Brand Lift may also highlight a Top performing post and include summary scores (for example: brand lift and audience reaction).
If you want to review specific posts and their engagement, use the View affiliate posts button on this tab and drill into the details available there.
