Can I use ReferralCandy if I'm not using a supported eCommerce platform?

If you are not using one of ReferralCandy's supported platforms, note that ReferralCandy can integrate with almost any online store. As long as the steps below are possible on your store's eCommerce platform:

  1. Forward/BCC invoice emails to ReferralCandy immediately after each purchase with relevant transaction information.

  2. Insert a JavaScript referral tracking code on your purchase completed page.

For guidance on how to perform these 2 steps for your store, please check with your eCommerce platform's support team, as they are in the best position to help you navigate your platform and confirm this.

Alternatively, you can try JavaScript or API integration if your store does not allow you to forward or BCC invoice emails to ReferralCandy. You can also use these options if you want more accurate tracking or more custom integration.

For an overview of all integration options, please see this article.

List of 'known' unsupported platforms

Based on feedback from retailers, ReferralCandy is currently unable to support the following platforms:

  • Amazon

  • Chargebee

  • Crowdfunding platforms (e.g. Indiegogo, Kickstarter, GoFundMe etc.)

  • Etsy

  • Eventbrite

  • Freshbooks

  • Infusionsoft

  • Moonfruit

  • PayPal (where the user is redirected to PayPal to complete the purchase)

  • Quickbooks

  • Salesforce

  • Tilt

  • Weebly

  • Wix

If you are using one of these known platforms we do not support, we sincerely apologize in advance. It is highly likely that you will not be able to integrate successfully with ReferralCandy and we cannot assist you with setting up a referral program at this point in time.
