If you already have a list of customers in Klaviyo that you wish to add to ReferralCandy, you can use the import contacts tool to register and enroll the customers in your referral program.
Before you proceed, ensure that Klaviyo is properly integrated by following the Klaviyo integration guide. If you want to incorporate ReferralCandy custom properties and events into your flows, read the ReferralCandy events and custom properties and Setting up your email flows articles.
Set up an enrollment flow
To let your customers know that they're now part of your referral program, you can send a welcome email upon enrollment through a Klaviyo flow. This is a great way to invite them to start making referrals. To set up the flow, read Sending a referral email upon enrollment.
Export your Klaviyo list and segments
Export a copy of your contacts from the Klaviyo list and segments you wish to invite to your referral program and download them in CSV format. Follow Klaviyo's guide here.
The CSV file should contain the following columns:
Column 1 should be first_name or First Name
Column 2 should be last_name or Last Name
Column 3 should be email or Email
Column 4 should be locale (optional)
Import contacts to ReferralCandy
Import the contacts to a new or existing static segment. For the complete instructions on how to upload a CSV file to ReferralCandy, read Inviting past customers to join your referral program. Once imported to a static segment, the customers are registered to your ReferralCandy account as contacts.
Note: Importing contact doesn't automatically enroll your customers to a campaign. You should target the static segment first.
Target the imported contacts
To enroll the imported contacts, you must set the segment as the target audience of your campaign. Read Setting a target audience for your campaign to learn how to target segments.
Setting the segment as a target audience automatically enrolls the imported contacts in the campaign. Once enrolled, ReferralCandy sends the RC - Enrolled custom event to the associated Klaviyo profiles.

How do I know that my customers are successfully imported?
All imported contacts are added to your Contacts list upon import. Review the list to make sure that the contacts in your CSV file are successfully added.
In Klaviyo, your customers get the RC - Enrolled event on their profile page in the activity log. If you set up an email flow that's triggered by this event, your imported customers will receive the enrollment email.
