Every ReferralCandy campaign comes with a hosted portal for the people in your program: referral campaigns have an advocate portal, and affiliate campaigns have an affiliate portal. It's where your advocates and affiliates grab their referral link, track their rewards or commissions, and manage their account — hosted by ReferralCandy, with your branding.
This article covers how contacts access their portal, where to find your campaign's portal URL, and what each portal shows. For a detailed walkthrough of the advocate experience, see What advocates see after signing up.
How contacts access the portal
There are three ways into the portal, and they all lead to the same place:
The welcome email. The link in the welcome email takes each advocate or affiliate to their personal portal page.
The join page. Anyone who enters an already-enrolled email address on your campaign's join page is recognized and taken straight to their portal — no second signup, no sign-in step. Someone not yet enrolled can use the same page to sign up, through the join page itself or your signup widgets (Join block on Shopify, embedded signup on other platforms).
The Sign in link. The join page also has an "Already a member? Sign in" link — the contact enters their email and receives a sign-in link.
Note: the portals don't use passwords. Anything private — reward history, payout details, account settings — opens with a secure one-time sign-in link emailed to the contact (valid for 2 hours). There is no password to create or reset.
Finding your campaign's portal URL
Each campaign has its own portal, reached through that campaign's join page link — a URL like <your-subdomain>.refr.cc/join/<campaign-url>. To find it, open the campaign and look under the campaign name on the overview page:
Referral campaigns — the link appears next to Promote your program.
Affiliate campaigns — the link appears next to Promote your affiliate program.
This is the same on the Shopify-embedded dashboard (Shopify admin > Apps > ReferralCandy > select a campaign) and the standalone dashboard at my.referralcandy.com (Campaigns > select a campaign). Share this join page link in emails, on social media, or anywhere you want people to enroll.
Note: your campaign status must be Live for the advocate or affiliate portal to be available. Learn more about campaign states
The advocate portal (referral campaigns)
The advocate portal has two parts:
The Share Page — what advocates land on from the welcome email or join page. It shows their personal referral link, their friend discount code (when the friend offer is a coupon), and one-click share buttons — all available without signing in, so sharing stays frictionless.
The rewards dashboard — a private single page, opened with the emailed sign-in link, where advocates track earned rewards and referral progress, follow recent activity, customize their referral link, and manage their payout details.
For the full advocate walkthrough — what's on each screen, how sign-in works, and how to customize the portal's branding — see What advocates see after signing up.
The affiliate portal (affiliate campaigns)
Affiliates get the same portal system with an earnings focus. One difference from the advocate portal: the affiliate portal's landing screen shows the program summary and commission details, but affiliates sign in first (with the same emailed sign-in link) to access their referral link and dashboard.
Once signed in, the affiliate portal has two pages:
Home — the affiliate's referral link with a Customize option, share buttons, an earnings summary (total earned, pending, and paid out), reward tiers, a performance section (Clicks, Sales, Conversion — the ratio of sales to link clicks — and Sales volume), and recent activity.
Earnings — total earned and the affiliate's commission rate, a monthly earnings chart, pending commissions, payout history (cash payouts are sent monthly once commissions are earned), and an Other rewards section for any coupons, store credit, or bonus rewards.
Still seeing the older portal pages? Some campaigns haven't switched to the new portals yet — for example, live campaigns using a developer-mode theme. For those, contacts still see the previous share and rewards pages, which continue to work as before.

You can only change the payout email address for cash rewards after earning your first reward — until then, the option isn't shown on the portal.
