Email settings: Reward emails

Reward emails are notifications sent to your advocates to keep them updated about the status of their referrals. When enabled, advocates receive emails throughout their referral journey, such as alerts when a friend makes purchase through their link and notifications to confirm reward eligibility.

Klaviyo integration: If you decide to use Klaviyo for your reward notification emails, we recommend you set up email flows in Klaviyo first before disabling them on ReferralCandy.


Enabling reward emails

To turn on reward notification emails:

  1. Go to your campaign's email settings page:

    • From the ReferralCandy dashboard, go to Campaigns > Select your campaign > Email Settings.

    • From your Shopify admin, go to Campaigns > Select your campaign. In the Promote campaign section, click Emails.

  2. Toggle on the following reward emails:

    • Pending reward emails - Sent when a referred friend makes a purchase through the advocate or affiliate's unique referral link

    • Successful reward emails - Sent after the review period ends and the advocate or affiliate is eligible for a reward based on conditions

    • Ineligible reward emails - Sent after the review period ends and the advocate or affiliate is not eligible for a reward based on conditions

  3. Save the changes.

Note: Only customers who are subscribed to receiving communications from you can receive campaign emails. You may choose to ignore marketing email preference on Shopify and other platforms.
