Advocates & affiliates: How to sign in to the portal

Sign in to the advocate or affiliate portal with an emailed sign-in link — no password needed — and what to do if it doesn't arrive.

Written by Adam

To view your rewards or manage your account, you sign in to the advocate or affiliate portal — the page the store's referral program hosts for you. The portal doesn't use passwords: you sign in with a secure link sent to your email. If you're here looking for how to reset your password, there's nothing to reset — just follow the steps below to get a sign-in link.

How signing in works

Note: the following steps must be completed by the advocate or affiliate. Merchants can share these instructions when assisting customers.

  1. Open your portal. Click the link in the welcome email the store sent you when you joined the program (the button is usually labeled Get Invite Link, though stores may customize it). You can also go to the program's join page and enter the email address you joined with — you'll be taken straight to your portal.

  2. Request a sign-in link. On your portal page, click Send me a sign-in link (on affiliate portals the button reads Email me a sign-in link). The join page also has an "Already a member? Sign in" link that does the same thing.

  3. Check your inbox. You'll receive an email with the subject "Sign in to the [store name] reward portal". Click the link inside and you're signed in — no password needed. The link is valid for 2 hours; if it expires, just request a new one.

Once signed in, you can view your earned rewards, track your referral progress, customize your referral link, and update your payout details. Learn more about viewing your rewards.

If you don't have your portal link handy, try these — easiest first:

  • Search your inbox for the store's name. The easiest way back in is the email that told you about the referral program in the first place — the welcome email with the Get Invite Link button (the store may have customized the wording). Its link takes you straight to your portal.

  • Check the store's website. Many stores link their program right on their site — a "Refer a friend" page, a menu or footer link, or a signup widget on a page. Any of these leads to the program's join page or signup form, where entering the email you joined with takes you to your portal.

  • From your referral link. If you have your referral link saved somewhere (a past post or message you shared), take its store part (for example, yourstore.refr.cc/campaign/u/johnsmith) and visit yourstore.referralcandy.com — that opens the program's join page.

  • Ask the store. The merchant can send you their program's join page link — it's shown on their campaign page.

Troubleshooting

  • The sign-in email didn't arrive. Check your spam or junk folder and your inbox categories (Promotions, Updates). Make sure you requested it with the email address you originally joined with — for example, the one you used to make a purchase from the store. You can request a new link after a short cooldown.

  • The link says it's expired. Sign-in links are valid for 2 hours. Request a new one and click it soon after it arrives.

  • The join page offered to sign you up instead of taking you to your portal. The email you entered doesn't match the one you're enrolled with. Try the email address you used when you joined or made your purchase.

  • You've lost access to the email you joined with. Sign-in links can only go to your enrolled email address. Our support team can help update or recover your account — just let us know.

Seeing a password screen instead? Some stores' programs still use the previous portal pages, which offer both a password sign-in and an "Email me a sign-in link" option. You can use the sign-in link option there too — or click Forgot Password on that screen to reset your password by email.

Article FAQ

How do I reset my portal password?

The advocate and affiliate portal doesn't use passwords, so there's no password to reset. You sign in with a secure link emailed to the address you joined the program with — request it from your portal page or the join page's Sign in link.

If your store's program still shows the older password screen, click Forgot Password there to reset it by email — or use that screen's "Email me a sign-in link" option to skip the password entirely.
