The Reminder emails are follow-up emails sent to your customers at specified intervals based on the conditions you set around their referral activity. It is recommended that you set a 2-week interval between emails to avoid becoming spammy, which can reduce email engagement and deliverability.

Enabling reminder emails

To turn on reminder emails:

  1. Go to your campaign's email settings page:

    • From the ReferralCandy dashboard, go to Campaigns > Select your campaign > Email Settings.

    • From your Shopify admin, go to Campaigns > Select your campaign. In the Promote campaign section, click Emails.

  2. Toggle on Reminder email to enable.

  3. Save the changes.

Note: Only customers who are subscribed to receiving communications from you can receive campaign emails. You may choose to ignore marketing email preference.

Setting up reminder emails

When turned on, you can set an interval when the reminder email is sent. Then, select and configure the conditions for when the reminder emails stop sending:

  • Send until the Advocate has a specified number of successful referrals

  • Send until a set number of emails have been sent

  • Keep sending the reminder email

Note: Reminder emails will stop sending 12 months after an Advocate is enrolled in your campaign, regardless of the condition you set.

ReferralCandy runs on an adaptive system that spaces out email delivery if it's detected that your customers don't interact with the emails, eventually stopping them from receiving the reminder email. This prevents the campaign emails from appearing spammy, reducing the likelihood of them being flagged and landing in the recipient's spam folder.
