ReferralCandy Portals are hosted entirely by ReferralCandy and included as part of the ReferralCandy service. Each ReferralCandy account comes with a ReferralCandy Advocate Portal. You can find your portal link by going to Emails and Pages and checking the top section of the page.

The Portal can be used as:

If a customer is enrolled as an advocate, they can:

  • Access the Share Page and Rewards page by entering the email address used when purchasing from your store OR the email entered when signing up

If you are NOT yet registered as an advocate and it's your first time using the portal, you can:

  • Sign up to become an advocate via the Join Page so you can access your Share Page and Rewards Page


Join Page

Any visitor to the ReferralCandy Advocate Portal, even those who are not yet enrolled in your referral program, can use the Join Page to sign up for your referral campaign and access their personal Sharing Page by entering their email address.

You can embed this page to your store's page by using the Embedded Signup Widget so website visitors can easily signup as an advocate and refer their friends to your store.


Share Page

Advocates can access their personal Sharing Page from the Portal by simply entering their email addresses. From this page, they can easily share their referral link using ready Social Media sharing buttons or by simply clicking on Copy Link.


Rewards Page

Advocates can log in to their Rewards page from the Sharing Page by simply clicking on Your Rewards at the top right corner of the page.

Accessibility

By default. the Portal can be accessed by both new customers (for signups) and existing advocates (to access the sharing and rewards pages). You also have the option to limit access to existing advocates, only customers that were manually invited to the referral program OR automatically invited post-purchase can use the Portal. Customers who were not invited will get an error message upon signing up. If you prefer to have this set up, please contact us at support@referralcandy.com.

To summarise, there are two modes for the Portal:

  • Limited to existing advocates only
    People with existing ReferralCandy Advocate Portal accounts can use the Portal to get to their personal Sharing Page. People without existing ReferralCandy Advocate Portal accounts will see the following message when they key in their email address: "Sorry, this email address is not eligible for our Referral Program".

  • Existing advocates + New signups
    Any visitor to the ReferralCandy Advocate Portal, even those who aren't yet enrolled in your referral program, can use the Join Page to sign up for your referral campaign and access their personal Sharing Page by entering their email address. A new Sharing Page will be created for new advocates.

Note: Your referral campaign must be Active in order for the ReferralCandy Advocate Portal to appear. When your campaign is Stopped, the ReferralCandy Portal URL will redirect to your Store URL instead.
