You can unsubscribe a contact to stop them from receiving email communications about your campaign.
Whether a contact is subscribed or unsubscribed has no bearing on whether they can participate in your referral or affiliate program. If you wish to stop an enrolled Advocate from referring and earning rewards, read How to ban a contact.
Unsubscribe contacts
To unsubscribe a contact from receiving referral marketing and campaign emails:

To resubscribe a contact, repeat the steps above and click Resubscribe. |
To resubscribe a contact, repeat the steps above and check Customer agreed to receive marketing emails. |
Batch unsubscribe
To unsubscribe multiple contacts:

You can unsub a maximum of 10,000 contacts per file. |
Make sure the contacts contain the ReferralCandy contact tag so you know you're editing only the Shopify customers who registered for a ReferralCandy campaign. |
Subscribed vs. unsubscribed
The table below highlights which emails your customers receive depending on whether they are subscribed or unsubscribed from receiving campaign emails.
Only customers who are enrolled in your campaign receive the referral emails listed below. Unenrolled Advocates may also receive account-related emails.
