Can I use ReferralCandy for my store's mobile app?

Unfortunately, ReferralCandy is currently unable to support a referral program from a mobile app regardless of platform (i.e. iOS, Android, Windows, etc.).

Customers need to use a web browser to make their purchases for accurate referral tracking to take place.

Can I run multiple campaigns for a single store?

Yes, you can set multiple campaigns live for one ReferralCandy account. For more information about multicampaign, read the Multi-campaign FAQ article.

Can I sign up for ReferralCandy with a Yahoo email address?

Yes, you can! Although Yahoo's policies prevent services like ReferralCandy from sending out emails on your behalf, you've got nothing to worry about.

Just sign up for ReferralCandy using your Yahoo email (e.g. john@yahoo.com).

Once you've set up your referral program, we'll ask you for a non-Yahoo email (e.g. john@acme.com), which we'll use to send out emails for your referral program. And then you're good to go!

You can change your sender ("Sent From") email address by following this article.

Can I run one referral program across multiple stores?

No. Referral or affiliate campaigns are linked only to the store connected to one ReferralCandy account. You need to use separate accounts for each store, but the campaigns won't be linked and synced.

Can I use ReferralCandy if I'm not using a supported eCommerce platform?

ReferralCandy can integrate with almost any online store. Learn more

Can I run a referral program for B2B sales?

With regards to the mechanics of setting up and running your referral program on ReferralCandy, there's no real difference whether you are B2C or B2B.

The key consideration here is whether you're able to carry out the following 2 steps, as outlined in our Email Integration article:

  1. Forward/BCC invoice emails to ReferralCandy immediately after each purchase with relevant transaction information

  2. Add a referral tracking code on your purchase completed page

If you're able to do these 2 steps, you can use ReferralCandy.

Can I send a referral reward that doesn't involve a purchase?

ReferralCandy doesn't support referral programs where advocates can be rewarded even without a referred friend making a purchase, also known as non-monetary referral programs. For your customers to receive a discount code, cash, or custom reward, they should make a successful referral first, which means their referred friend must make a purchase.

ReferralCandy uses referred purchases as key events to obtain necessary information about a referral and determine if that referral is successful and legitimate. ReferralCandy doesn't support rewarding your customers for:

  • Signing up or subscribing for your newsletter

  • Signing up for a trial or demo of your product or service

  • Sharing your website on social media

  • Sharing your content or promotions on social media

  • Leaving a review or feedback about your store

  • Completing or filling out a survey

Can a customer refer even if they don't make a purchase?

Yes, it's possible to set up a referral program that enrolls customers in your campaign without requiring a purchase. Alternatives include campaign enrollment through signup or invitation.

You need to create and target a segment that includes customers who sign up via a form or those you manually import into the segment. Learn more

Can I access ReferralCandy via the Shopify admin panel?

Yes, the ReferralCandy app is available in your Shopify admin.

Shopify merchants don't have access to the previous ReferralCandy dashboard anymore, and should use the ReferralCandy app in Shopify instead.
