Can I disqualify a referral or delete a purchase after the review period is over?

Unfortunately, no. You aren't able to disqualify a referral or delete a purchase after the review period is over through the ReferralCandy dashboard.

Our engineers will still be able to do so through our backend system but we will not be able to recall any rewards that have already been issued.

So, if you'd like to do so, please contact us with the following information:

Does ReferralCandy have social media integration?

Yes. ReferralCandy has integration with Twitter, Facebook and WhatsApp to allow Advocates to easily share their referral link with friends with a simple click of a button.

As a retailer, you are able to set the default message that will appear when Advocates share their referral link via each channel. They can also personalize the message if they wish before sharing it on social media.

How do I activate or stop my campaign?

Please note that your ReferralCandy account will be charged as normal regardless if your have a LIVE, DRAFT or STOPPED campaign.

To set your campaign to Live:

  1. Complete any tasks you need to do before you can activate your referral program. ReferralCandy has a Quick Start Guide that will help you get started.

  2. Head over to your dashboard, go to Campaigns and click All Campaigns.

  3. Select the campaign you wish to activate.

  4. Click the Review & Activate button on the top left corner of the page.

To set your campaign to Stopped:

Please contact us to stop your campaign.

What happens in each campaign status?


  • Referrals are tracked and rewarded


  • Customers can’t refer friends to your store

  • Your store stops getting new Advocates


  • All campaigns begin as a draft

  • Your customers will not see this campaign

How do I edit my emails & pages without affecting my customers?

If you're changing the design or layout of your emails & pages, you might not want your customers to receive the interim designs.

To avoid making changes to your live theme, we recommend you create a duplicate version that you can make revisions on and then publish that version.

  1. On your ReferralCandy dashboard, go to Campaigns then click All Campaigns. Select the campaign you'd like to customize.

  2. Click on the gear icon on your active theme, and select "Duplicate".

  3. Click Edit on the duplicated theme, and make your edits.

  4. Once you're done, click Publish to make the duplicated theme live.

Should I stop my referral campaign when I change my referral incentives?

The answer is no. There's no need for you to stop your referral campaign when you change your referral incentives. Stopping your campaign prevents you from gaining new Advocates during that period of time.

Your campaign's Reminder Emails will contain the newest referral incentives, and serves to update your Advocates about changes in your referral program. If you wish, you can change the content of your reminder emails to highlight recent changes in your referral incentives.

Tip: You can add an extra line of text in your referral and reminder emails letting your Advocates know that referral incentives are subject to change. (e.g.: "Note: Offers may changes from time to time".)
