The ReferralCandy app will extract the subtotal amount (the amount after any discount is applied, but before taxes and shipping are added in) from the invoices that you forward to ReferralCandy, and use this figure as the basis for calculating cash rewards or commissions.
However, this can only happen if the subtotal amount is explicitly stated on the invoice emails (Email Integration), via your purchases and referral tracking code (JavaScript Integration) or via API call (API Integration).
If you're using a store platform that has custom integration with ReferralCandy (i.e. Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce) we extract the amount directly from your platform.
If the subtotal amount is not explicitly stated, the next closest amount to the subtotal amount will be used to calculate cash rewards or commissions.

Price of product: $100
Discount: 10%
Subtotal: $90
S&H: $10.00
Taxes: $5.00
Total: $105
In this example, ReferralCandy can extract the subtotal and will calculate the cash reward/commission on the subtotal amount (i.e. $90).

Information in invoice:
Price of product: $100
Discount: 10%
S&H: $10.00
Taxes: $5.00
Total: $105
In this example, the subtotal amount is not present in the invoice, and ReferralCandy will extract the total amount and will calculate the cash reward/commission on the total amount (i.e. $105).
