Decide how many of a referred friend's purchases count toward an Advocate reward:
First purchase - the Advocate receives a reward only for the first purchase that their referral makes through their referral link.
Every purchase - the Advocate receives a reward for every purchase that their referral makes through their referral link.
First [X number of] purchases - the Advocate receives a reward for the first number of purchases a referral makes. You can set this up to the first 20 purchases.
Setting the number of rewardable purchases
Go to your campaign's Reward conditions page:

On the ReferralCandy dashboard, click the Reward advocate for friend's dropdown and select the number of purchases.
In Shopify admin, in the Reward advocate for friend's section, select Every purchase or First X purchase(s) to set a custom number.
Save the changes.
Note: ReferralCandy only charges commission on the first three (3) purchases that a referred friend makes through an Advocate's referral link. Learn more
