With FlexiTiers, you can create reward tiers to encourage your advocates to make more referrals and earn better and higher rewards as they hit referral milestones.
With tiered rewards, you gamify your referral or affiliate program and motivate your customers to increase their referral activity, driving new customers and boosting overall sales.
Note: You must subscribe to the AffiliatePlus (Beta) add-on to use cash rewards or commissions starting from the 2nd tier onwards.
Add a new tier
By default, a campaign uses 1 reward tier, which means your customers get the same reward value from the first earned reward onwards. Use the tiered reward structure to give your advocates and affiliates more attractive rewards or commissions when they’ve earned a certain number of rewards.
Pro Tip: Ensure that your reward value at higher tiers are compelling enough to motivate advocates to continue referring their friends.
To add reward tiers:
Go to your campaign's Advocate reward page:
In the upper-right corner, click Add new tier.
Set the Number of rewards to qualify for tier. Enter the minimum number of earned rewards in the field.
Set up the new reward tier. You can choose an entirely new reward type, no reward, or a different reward setup from your previous tier.
Save the changes. Repeat the steps to create a new tier.
When you save a new reward tier, ReferralCandy automatically adjusts your existing tiers to cover all ranges without overlaps.
Note: You can't delete or edit the minimum number of earned rewards for the default or first tier. The first tier always starts at 1 earned reward.
Set a starting point
Once reward tiers are saved, they take effect immediately unless you specify a starting date. The starting date should be today or a past date. This feature is designed for cases where you want to introduce a new set of tiers and have all advocates begin fresh under the updated structure.
In the Tier progression starting point section, you have the following options:
Count all past rewards towards tier progression - This is the default setting, which includes all historical rewards earned by advocates, regardless of when the reward tiers were set up.
Start tier progression from - Set an exact date and time for when the campaign begins counting advocate rewards. Use this option to reset your advocates' reward counts to 0 based on the selected date.

When you edit the minimum number of earned rewards for an advocate to qualify for a tier, or when you delete a tier, ReferralCandy automatically adjusts the tier ranges and reorders them to ensure that all ranges are covered.

No. ReferralCandy automatically assigns your tier ranges based on the minimum number of earned rewards you set when you create new tiers. The default or first tier always starts at 1, and your highest tier is open-ended (e.g., 10th onwards).
For example:
You created a 2nd tier with 5 as the minimum reward earned
Your 1st tier (default) is auto-adjusted to the 1st - 4th range
You created a 3rd tier with 10 as the minimum reward earned
Your 2nd tier is auto-adjusted to the 5th - 9th range
Your 3rd tier is set to the 10th onwards range

Yes. When you create a new reward tier, you can choose an entirely new reward type or reward setup from your previous tier.
Each tier can have its own unique reward value, allowing you to configure better and more attractive rewards for your advocates as they earn more rewards and reach higher tiers in your referral or affiliate program.

No. There's no option to auto-reset or set expiration dates for your campaign's reward tiers. Once your reward tiers are saved, your campaign will continue following your set tiers, until you manually change them.

To see a list of the advocates in a reward tier:
In Shopify admin, go to Campaigns > Select your campaign. In the Set rewards section, click Advocate reward.
In the FlexiTiers section, your reward tiers are displayed. To check how many contacts belong to a tier, refer to the Advocates column.
To see a list of the advocates in a tier, click View under Actions.
You can search, filter, and export the list.

Use the Nothing advocate reward option to limit rewards to specific milestones instead of rewarding customers within a range. This option is useful for milestone or alternating rewards. See the example setups below.

In this example setup, advocates receive rewards only at specific milestones, until the 10th reward.

5th reward : Free T-shirt
6th - 9th reward : Nothing
10th reward: Free hoodie
11th onwards: Nothing

In this example setup, customers get alternating rewards at specific intervals, until the 10th reward.
