What is a unique referral link?
A referral link is a link that all Advocates get when they are enrolled in a referral campaign. By default, the referral link is personalized based on either your first and last name, or the first part of your email address.
For example, if the name and email address you used were John Smith and spacemarine1337@gmail.com
, your default unique referral link will likely be: http://yourstore.refr.cc/campaign/u/johnsmith
.
Why customize your referral link?
There are many reasons why you'd want to customize your unique referral link:
You don’t want to expose your first and/or last name when sharing your unique referral link publicly.
You purchased under a different name and would like to correct it.
Customizing your referral link
To customize your unique referral link, log into the Advocate join page. To get the join page URL of the campaign you are enrolled in, take the first part of your unique referral link (e.g., http://yourstore.refr.cc/campaign/u/johnsmith
) then add .referralcandy.com
. For example: http://yourstore.referralcandy.com/
.
You can also find the link to your Advocate join page in the invite email sent to you by the store. Click Get Invite Link to access the join page.
Go to your Advocate join page.
Enter the email address that you previously used to register for the referral program (e.g., the email address you used to make a purchase from this store).
Click Get Invite Link.
You are redirected to the share page. Click Your Rewards on the top right.
Scroll down and click Change link.
Edit your unique referral link. You can edit only the last part of your link. In this example link
yourstore.refr.cc/campaign/u/johnsmith
, only "johnsmith" can be edited.Click Update Link.
Logging in for the first time
If you’re accessing the Advocate join page for the first time, you're prompted to Set a password for your account and verify your email address. Forgot your password?
Note: The verification email may land in your promotions or spam folder. Check these folders if you don't see the email. Alternatively, you can also search your emails using the following text string:
Subject Line: “Verify your email with”
Sender Email Address: “support+user@referralcandy.com”
