ReferralCandy provides an extremely easy way to build an advertising audience of highly engaged leads on AdRoll through your referral program.
These are people who have been referred by your customers, expressed interest in your store by clicking a link to claim the offer, but for whatever reason did not complete checkout at your store.
Create an audience
Select your advertiser profile and navigate to Audience. Ensure that the AdRoll Pixel for your advertiser profile has been setup.
Select New Audience.
Under Audience Type, URL Visited should be selected and it should match go.referralcandy.com*. Then, name the audience and create it.
Once the audience has been created, you will be redirected to the Audience page. Under AdRoll Pixel, select View Pixel.
Copy the script tag and extract the advertiser ID (adroll_adv_id) and pixel ID (adroll_pix_id).
How to add AdRoll tracking to your friend landing page
The friend landing page is where referred friends claim your referral program's offer, before they are redirected to your store. ReferralCandy will automatically add the AdRoll script tag to this page so you may build an audience on AdRoll.
Simply paste your AdRoll Advertiser ID and AdRoll Pixel ID in the designated field on your ReferralCandy Marketing Analytics page:
That's it! You'll now be able to build an audience in AdRoll comprising friends referred by your customers.
Note that page views to your referral program may take up to 24 hours to appear on AdRoll Audience.
