Integration: Remarketing with AdRoll

ReferralCandy provides an extremely easy way to build an advertising audience of highly engaged leads on AdRoll through your referral program. These are people who have been referred by your Advocates, and expressed interest in your store by clicking a link to claim the offer, but for whatever reason did not follow through and complete a purchase at your store.


Integrating AdRoll with ReferralCandy

The friend landing page is where referred friends claim your referral program's offer, before they are redirected to your store. ReferralCandy will automatically add the AdRoll script tag to this page so you can build an audience on AdRoll.

  1. On your AdRoll account, select your advertiser profile and navigate to Audience. Ensure that the AdRoll Pixel for your advertiser profile has been set up.

  2. Under Audience Type, select URL Visited to match go.referralcandy.com*.

  3. Add an Audience Name (e.g.: "ReferralCandy") and click Create Audience. Once the audience has been created, you will be redirected to the Audience page.

  4. Under AdRoll Pixel, click View Pixel.

  5. Copy the script tag and extract the Advertiser ID (adroll_adv_id) and Pixel ID (adroll_pix_id).

  6. On your ReferralCandy account, go to Integrations and click Ads & Retargeting.

  7. Paste the Advertiser ID and Pixel ID in text fields under the "AdRoll" section.

  8. Click Save Changes.

That's it! You'll now be able to build an audience in AdRoll comprising friends referred by your customers.

Note that page views to your referral program may take up to 24 hours to appear on AdRoll Audience.
