Enabling multiple languages for your campaign

Set multi-language emails, pages, and widgets for your campaign, with separate steps for Shopify and Other Platforms.

Add multiple languages to your campaign to localize your store's referral or affiliate program based on your customers' preferred languages.

Before enabling multiple languages for your campaign, check these first:

  • Your store supports multiple languages

  • Your campaign uses the same supported languages as your store

  • You may need a developer’s help if your storefront uses a custom integration or custom language flow

  • Some languages may not be supported by ReferralCandy

Important:

  • Shopify merchants can only use ReferralCandy’s supported languages

  • Non-Shopify merchants may have additional flexibility depending on their integration

This better sets up the platform split and matches the supported-language limitation described in the related multi-language articles.

Shopify: Enable multiple languages for a campaign

  1. In the ReferralCandy app in Shopify, go to Campaigns > Select your campaign > Languages.

  2. Under Multi-languages, select the additional languages that your store supports.

  3. Click Save.

Other Platforms: Enable multiple languages for a campaign

  1. From the ReferralCandy dashboard, go to Campaigns > Select your campaign > Languages.

  2. Under Multi-languages, select the additional languages that your store supports.

  3. Click Save.

Note:
When you add languages to your campaign, ReferralCandy provides default translations for supported emails, pages, and widgets. You can still review and edit that translated content if you want to customize the wording for your brand or use case.

Shopify: Review and edit translations

  1. In the ReferralCandy app in Shopify, go to Campaigns > Select your campaign > Themes.

  2. Find your active Theme and click Customize.

  3. In the Visual Editor, use the language dropdown above the preview area to select the language you want to review.

  4. Review and edit the translated content for your emails, pages, and widgets as needed.

  5. Click Save.

Other Platforms: Review and edit translations

  1. From the ReferralCandy dashboard, go to Campaigns > Select your campaign > Email & Pages.

  2. Find your active theme and click Edit.

  3. Click the Languages dropdown and select the language you want to review.

  4. Review and edit the translated content for your emails, pages, and widgets as needed.

  5. Click Save.

Notes:

  • ReferralCandy provides default translations for supported content, but you can adjust the wording if you want it to say something more specific for your brand or use case

  • If you use multiple languages, make sure you are editing the correct language version before saving

  • Use the normal Theme editor to review or adjust translated text. Developer Mode is not required for standard translation work

Check the language integration with your store

Each customer is tagged with a language or locale when they visit your store. For a multi-language campaign to work, your store needs to have the same languages selected in ReferralCandy.

Make sure to match your store’s available languages from your platform’s admin settings, and check that multiple languages are syncing correctly between your store and your campaign.

Important:

  • On Shopify, customers whose locale is not supported by ReferralCandy will see your campaign’s default language instead

  • On non-Shopify integrations, unsupported language handling may depend on your integration setup
