You can update your currency settings on the store details page. Changing the currency in the middle of running a referral program will affect the rewards you set up:
Minimum purchase amount - The minimum purchase amount is calculated in the currency you set.
Cash rewards* - The cash reward is shown in the currency you set.
If you change your currency settings, rewards are updated to the new currency without adjusting for exchange rates. For example, if you update your currency from USD to GBP, your cash reward of 10 USD becomes 10 GBP.
*Important: Cash rewards are issued in their USD equivalent via PayPal, regardless of the currency you set. For example, if a cash reward of 10 GBP is due to the Advocate, it will be transferred via PayPal as its USD equivalent, such as 16.54 USD (assuming 1 GBP = 1.64 USD).
Updating the currency
Go to your Store details page:
From the ReferralCandy dashboard, go to My Store > Store Details.
From your Shopify admin, go to Accounts > Store details > Store settings.
Click the Currency dropdown.
Choose the currency you'd like to set for your referral program.
Save the changes.
