Change your ReferralCandy customer's information

When necessary, you can change the following customer information in your ReferralCandy contact list:

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Email Address

  • Locale or Language - if your referral program supports multiple languages

  • Phone number (Shopify)

Note: Changes made to the contact details in ReferralCandy won't affect the contact details in your eCommerce platform, and vice versa. For Shopify merchants, ReferralCandy contacts are added to your Customers page.


Updating customer information

  1. Go to your contacts or customers page:

    • From the ReferralCandy dashboard, go to Contacts.

    • From your Shopify admin, go to Customers.

  2. In the search bar, find the contact using their name or email address.

  3. Click the contact's name to view their information.

  4. To enter the contact editor popup:

    • On the ReferralCandy dashboard, click Actions and select Edit Details.

    • In Shopify admin, go to the Customer panel. Click the three-dot menu and select Edit contact information.

  5. Edit the fields you need to update.

  6. Save the changes.

Where can I find my ReferralCandy contacts in Shopify admin?

For Shopify merchants, contacts who sign up for your referral or affiliate program via ReferralCandy are automatically added to your Customers page. These contacts have the ReferralCandy contact tag. When editing a contact in your referral or affiliate campaign, verify that this tag exists before making changes to the customer's information.

Note: Only contacts who registered for your campaign for the first time after the ReferralCandy app migration to Shopify will have the ReferralCandy contact tag.

How do I see all contacts or customers that were added through ReferralCandy?

You can filter your customer list using the ReferralCandy contact tag to show all the customers that signed up for your referral or affiliate campaign.

To filter your customer list in Shopify:

  1. In Shopify admin, go to your Customers page.

  2. Click Add filters.

  3. Add the Shopify filter: Customer tags > Contains this exact tag > ReferralCandy contact.

  4. Click Apply.

Once filtered, you can export the list or save it as a segment for a quick view of all your ReferralCandy contacts.
