AffiliatePlus (Beta) is a paid add-on. Visit the signup page in the ReferralCandy web app or Shopify app to subscribe for the early beta access.

If you choose Coupon as your friend offer, the AffiliatePlus add-on allows you to change the default referral code with a custom code for your affiliates in a campaign.

Edit the affiliate referral code

To customize the affiliate referral code:

From the ReferralCandy dashboard, go to Campaigns > Select your affiliate campaign > Affiliates. Find the contact you want to edit in the Approved tab, or use the search bar. On the contact details page, find Referral Code in the INDIVIDUAL CAMPAIGN DETAILS section. Click Edit. In the Referral Code field, enter the contact's custom referral discount code. Click Save.	From Shopify admin, go to the Referral Candy app > Contacts. Find the contact you want to edit or use the search bar. Click the contact's Shopify ID. A new tab opens. In the upper right corner, click More actions and select Edit discount code. Select the affiliate campaign. In the Custom coupon code field, enter the contact's custom referral discount code. Click Save.

Note: When your affiliate campaign is paused or stopped, or the affiliate is unenrolled, the referral code becomes invalid. The code remains assigned to the affiliate and becomes valid again when the campaign is set back to live or the affiliate is re-enrolled.

Why am I getting the "Custom code already exists" error?

The Custom code already exists error appears when you're already using the referral code for another affiliate in the campaign.

If you already used the referral code before, you may not reuse the exact code for the same user or any other user in your affiliate campaign.

What happens if someone uses an affiliate's old referral code?

When you update an affiliate's referral or discount code, purchases made through both the previous and the new code are still attributed to the affiliate.

For example, if you changed the code from ADAM100 to ADAM200, both codes are still valid for use. The current coupon code setup applies to both referral codes.

Why can't I change my contact's referral code?

The ability to edit the referral or discount code is only available for:

Accounts with the AffiliatePlus add-on enabled
Affiliate campaigns with Coupon as the friend offer type
Contacts enrolled in an affiliate campaign

If you're getting an error when editing your affiliate's referral code, it's possible that it's already in use. Try again with a different code.
