Ban an advocate from receiving future rewards

Through the ReferralCandy dashboard, you are able to ban an advocate from your referral program entirely.

A blocked advocate:

  • Will still receive referral and reminder emails from ReferralCandy regarding your referral program
  • Won't be eligible to earn any future Referral Rewards even if they make legitimate referrals
  • Won't receive any reward emails
  • Won't be able to log in to their Advocate Rewards Page. 

The only exception to this is if the retailer manually indicates in the dashboard that a banned advocate has made a referral purchase. This advocate will then be eligible to earn this particular referral reward and will receive a reward email.

Banning an advocate will not affect pending rewards (due to the referred purchase review period, if any) that were earned before the advocate was blocked. So, if you'd like the advocate to not receive any pending rewards, you'll need to void these referral or delete them manually.

To block an advocate from Existing Advocates page:

  1. Go to your Existing Advocates page.

  2. In the search box, enter the name or email of the advocate you'd like to block.

  3. Once you locate the advocate, click the advocate's name to get to the individual advocate's page. 

  4. At the individual advocate's page, click the red 'Block' button on the top right corner. 

  5. Once the button is clicked, the page will reload and a red 'banned' label will appear beside the advocate's email address.
     

To block an advocate from Purchases and Referrals page:

  1. Go to your Purchases and Referral page

  2. In the search box, enter the name or email of the advocate you'd like to block.

  3. Once you locate the advocate, click on the Delete dropdown and choose "Ban this advocate" option

  4. A pop-up will appear to let you confirm your action. 

  5. Once the button is clicked, you will be direct to the individual advocate's page and a red 'banned' label will appear beside the advocate's email address.
