Standard Integration: Using an image tracking pixel instead of a JavaScript tracking code

Last Updated: Jul 21, 2014 03:18AM UTC
(This question applies only to retailers using the ReferralCandy plugin for other platforms.)

If your shopping cart platform does not allow you to insert a JavaScript tag on your order confirmation page, you can get around this by inserting an image tag into the purchase completed page instead. To obtain the image tag to insert, follow the steps below.
  1. Go to your account's Integration page
  2. In the first box with the title '1. Insert the tracking code', take note of your unique tracking id in the third line of the JavaScript tag.

    Unique Tracking Id

  3. To obtain your image tag, insert your unique tracking id into the tag below by replacing the __REPLACE__ portion with your unique tracking id.

    <img src="https://go.referralcandy.com/purchase/__REPLACE__.jpg" />

    As an example, your final image tag should look something like:

    <img src="https://go.referralcandy.com/purchase/myq3v7wx528qhql5krne1v4rd.jpg" />

    Insert the image tag as HTML code, anywhere within the body of your order confirmation page.

    (Use http instead of https for the source of the image tag if your store's purchase completed page is served up with http instead of https.)
